Sudbury Hall

The impressive classic frontage of Sudbury Hall, Derbyshire, leads into a feast of history and nostalgia for adults and new experiences for the young – it’s home to the Museum of Childhood.

It was established by Derbyshire County Council in the 1970s, accommodated in the Hall’s nineteenth century servants’ wing. In 1991 it became a National Trust property and the organisation, its Supporters’ Groups and generous legacies – along with the Heritage Lottery Fund and Betty Cadbury Trust – recently made a substantial investment in redevelopment.
